I like to review and am always honest and I try to be subjective and realistic with my scores so it’s not just a rant. I’ll start by saying I travelled alone and stayed two weeks and had a wonderful stay! This is a 3 star hotel which I worry is flirting a bit to closely with a two star which if happened - the hotel wouldn’t recover from and that would be such a shame. For these reasons. 1. Facilities. There is no gym which are in most hotels now. There’s no WiFi and to buy it is expensive (this didn’t affect me and I worked for two weeks on my laptop I just tethered from my data - we even watched the UFC over there on Netflix linked up to the tv so you can make it work). The fact is it’s 2026 and WiFi really should be available as standard. I really couldn’t see anything for children and would absolutely say that this hotel is not geared for children in the slightest (suits me wonderfully). Anything they do have is very worn out and decaying. They did have a little library in reception which was nice. The pool is very cold and you are not allowed to dive in or use inflatables. I only went in twice all holiday and you usually can’t keep me out of the pool. The sunbeds were in good shape and comfy. No hairdryer in the rooms which again in 2026 should be as a given. They do have a safe and the fridge is nice and big and works well. I didn’t buy a remote for the tv as I don’t watch it. If you don’t want to take a towel you can hire one from them and it’s a large beach towel it costs €17 for however long and when you hand it back you get €10 which I thought was a good idea! Entertainment was only ok but the quiz was good fun! Again nothing for kiddies. I had wonderful evenings with the guests though. 2. Cleanliness, Decor and Surrounding. It’s extremely dated to a point where it’s generally quite scruffy looking. It is in drastic need of some TLC and a revamp but of course this would take a cash injection which from what I can see they simply don’t have. Everything is old. The rooms were particularly old fashioned and the water temperature was really temperamental. Cindy enough though. The bedding and towels have seen better days but again all of these things were absolutely adequate hence the 3 star no more or less. Overall the hotel was very clean although for my entire two week stay I didn’t see the pool being cleaned once (and I’m always up and about early). And saw no grounds men washing areas down like they usually do. The plants need some love and there was often a bit of a sewer smell around. I saw NO bugs for my entire stay. The rooms were VERY clean. The restaurant was very clean. Not many outlets in the room so don’t forget your multi plug extension cords. Cleanliness apart from the pool never an issue. The surroundings were the biggest issue for me. There just isn’t anything anywhere. Yes you have a supermarket down the road yes there are a small handful of places to eat but it’s a ghost town and a leisurely walk consisted of just walking along roads etc. I was SO disappointed that they said the hotel was near a beach. It isn’t it’s near a cliff which looks down to rock - if you want a beach you have to travel. I often felt claustrophobic within the walls because I knew to go out and see civilisation meant a taxi or a bus. It’s just really out of it. I did go out a few times though and it was lovely. A taxi to Los Christinos is about €25 the bus is around €1.50. 3. Food and Drinks. The drinks were LOVELY!! I’m not massively exciting when it comes to drinks I’m usually coke, sangria, wine and the odd bacardi and coke etc and they were delicious!! They are served in small cardboard cups which is completely understandable for the day (they’ve not served glasses poolside in Spain in the day time for probably 20 years now because it’s hazardous so stop complaining about this!!) but I do think you should be able to have a glass in the evening like in other places. (you can buy one for the evening and have to give it back end of the night it’s €2 for a wine glass and €3.50 for a beer one) even if it was one of the hard plastics you can get. Just can’t have a glass of wine in a cardboard coffee cup it’s weird!! Met a tee totaller who had to buy 0% lager which was heavily subsidised but I think there should be a further allowance for this as non drinkers are becoming a lot more popular. They often ran out. Food. You won’t starve. I’m not a fussy eater and have small portions so for me I always found something but I imagine many wouldn’t and would leave feeling hard done by. Pork chops almost every single day the only change to that was liver a few nights. Mexican night was popular too but if it wasn’t pork chops it was pork knuckles in oil or pork and rice - there was no meat variety and a few of us went out a few nights just because we needed meat and some flavour! I know meat is quite expensive but there really should be more variety. Also no sauces!! You had ketchup and mayo and their garlic aioli was lovely but no gravy or any kind of sauces at all so it was all just quite boring and dry. There are only two hot plates and the food was always cold - not lukewarm - cold. The salad was basically lettuce tomato and red cabbage. There is a microwave. Breakfast was definitely on a budget and could never find English tea bags and again very cold. The soup was really nice, there were about 4 desserts available plus ice cream. It is NOT a restaurant where you can over indulge, it was very basic but again this could be their way of budgeting so people aren’t wasteful. You won’t starve but I had higher expectations on this front and unfortunately would have to say it’s possibly the worst I’ve been to. The staff were absolutely wonderful and they are a credit to the Don Pedro. I spoke to lots of them by the end of the fortnight and they were all lovely, well turned out, polite, hard working and friendly and super helpful. ALL of them! The boys who organise the games in the day for the guests were particularly impressive and a big shout out to Adonais and Belen on bar who were just brilliant. Was a pleasure to be around them. As a few people have mentioned a lot of people tend to come back many times and I was lucky enough to be over there when a lot of them were there and they were wonderful. I had some great moments with them and they made my trip to be honest. So friendly and lovely. Friends I didn’t know I needed. Very Thankful. So, would I go back? No. However I’m not someone who tends to go to the same places anyway so don’t read too much into that. Would I recommend? If you are on a strict tight budget then yes. This could be a beautiful place and if you remind yourself that it’s a 3 star not a 4 or 5 you will be fine. If you can afford a little bit more then no for the simple fact - go somewhere closer to civilisation. This hotel needs some love (and money) I suggest they immediately pull cleaners who do rooms 7 days a week (massively excessive) cut them back and use that budget to go into the restaurant straight away. If you don’t have the food in an all inclusive you are fighting a battle you won’t win. Thank you Don Pedro for a great holiday. Keep Going you’ve got this!! I absolutely believe in you!
Absolute crap hole The room/apartment i was allocated backed off onto an unkempt walk through with weeds and grass covered in fag butt's and bird poo The bedroom was small cramped very little room to get changed no air con so extremely sweaty and no tv The beds (2 very small singles) were old uncomfortable with no protectors and made me itch Very few hangers the ones that were there were mostly broken The so called living area was humid and dark with old dark non matching furniture a really shabby looking sofa bed a random washing machine and old curtains..the TV was big but was not able to change the channels without a remote which cost 10 euros from reception so I had spanish cartoons as my only option There was no WiFi apparently this wasn't working The back balcony was dirty unclean and dusty The whole place looks like something out of a 60's horror movie The food in the restaurant is repetitive and not very well cooked I dont know who they have working in the kitchen but the chefs couldn't make a salad The wine tasted like vinegar and the beer was flat The pool and bar area seemed ok but I didn't spend alot of time there. The drinks are served in paper cups so great for you recycling croud but just makes you feel like a child at a party I pretty much checked out on the second day and moved into another hotel 10 minutes away to enjoy the few days I had left. So if you want to stay in a disgusting hole and if you wish to eat poor quality food and drink out of paper cups then this is the place for you.. This place is disgusting Maybe when it was built it was nice its certainly not tranquil as advertised and it certainly not in keeping with the area because the surrounding propertties are ok . This needs to be flattened and turned into a carpark I dont like writing reviews in fact this is my first but I feel people need to know There are far better hotels around just minutes walk from this one Dont waste your money on this unsanitary place.. On a good note the guy on reception bald like myself with glasses is the most friendly man ive ever met in Tenerife Nothing was to much trouble for him so helpful. This hotel is infamous for being disgusting when I checked into my new hotel their receptionist understood completely why I had moved they have had several people making the same choice as I did Just trust me this is not just an opinion this is the truth based on my experience Do yourself a huge favour unless you want to have a nice conversation with the reception guy do not book this place I will leave you with the depressing picture of me sat on the sofa on the day I got there One last thing this wasn't cheap I paid nearly £900 for 5 nights i have made a complaint to onthebeach.com who advertised this as a 3 star ..its more like a 1 star/Hostel
Clean room. Nice bathroom. Tv. We didn't stay in the hotel for a very long time. Good food. Quiet and piecefull place most of the guests of this hotel are from the Great Britain. I like to do walks in the mornings and it's a nice place to do just that.
